Sunday Services at the Church Building                  Map

Sunday's main service starts at 10am and run for about 90 minutes, followed by an opportunity to socialise and chat over morning tea.

People sometimes feel apprehensive, even nervous when they make contact with strangers and new places for the first time…that’s understandable.

Here, at Hampton Park Baptist Church (HPBC), everyone is welcome, things are pretty informal and dress is casual so we’re sure you’ll feel at home!

A normal service begins with a couple of songs, a welcome and some church news, followed by a time to connect with God through musical worship.

There is always a Bible based message designed to help apply God's word to real life.

An opportunity for personal prayer with one of our leaders or pastoral care team is available after the service.

Then, meet some new people in the foyer over morning tea, a time to get some questions answered ...or ... you might want to make a quick exit!

Throughout the year we have special services for Easter, Fathers' Day, Mothers' Day, and Christmas. We love to celebrate with our church family on the occasion of a Baby Dedication,

a Baptism, and to welcome to new members. Sometimes, we just have lunch together because we can. The food and people are fabulous.

Every now and then a guest speaker will take part of the service and, from time to time, church members will share their personal testimonies. We are a place of new hope and new beginnings.

We have a quiet room for parents and babies to the right side of our auditorium for use during the service. There is also a baby change table in the disabled person toilet.

Little Takkers

Little Takkers caters for your children from babies to Prep. This program runs during the school terms.

The leaders are waiting each week to care for your children. The children leave the service as the worship songs begin and those who are old enough will join in the singing and storytelling activities.

To ensure the best possible care we have a cot, feeding chairs and change table available. Little Takkers is up the stairs and to the left. Each child needs to be signed in by the parent or guardian and picked up by the same adult after the service.

Inside Out For Kids

Inside out for Kids is a time of fun activities and teaching for grade 1 to grade 6 children. This program runs during the school terms.

This starts before the main sermon time and concludes along with the main service.

The children learn from the bible stories and activities.

They make amazing things together and have a great time.

Musicians & AV Team

The musicians, singers, projectionists, and sound teams do a great job of providing great contemporary worship each week. The teams meet before the service to rehearse the music, presentations, slides and other items to be used during the service.

There are also fortnightly practice sessions at the church to hone their skills and help new people develop confidence and ability to serve with them.

Is this where God is calling you?

Youth

This program runs during the school terms. For youth from year 7 to year 12 we have a bible study every second week in the purple room upstairs and to the right.

This starts during the service and allows the teens to have a study dedicated to their needs.

They only do a study every second week so they can also be part of the wider church family getting involved in music and other rostered activities too.

Youth social activities are also arranged during the year.

Prayer Group

Prayer is an important part of church life and we have a fantastic group who meet before the service each week in the greenroom (upstairs and to the right) to pray over the day’s service, the people, and other events and activities.

Maybe God is asking you to join them?
